During the 5 days of clinic, we have the opportunity to build relationships with the local pastors as well as share the gospel with each person who comes through clinic. As people come through and have their physical needs met, we listen to their stories, learn of their social needs and assess their discipleship needs. Then they receive vitamins, a dewormer, and any necessary medicine. Patients feel seen, heard, and cared for. By the end of clinic, they have an opportunity to hear the gospel and receive prayer. At this point their hearts and minds are even more open because we have built a relationship of trust with each patient as they walk through clinic. Those in need of a deeper restorative discipleship relationship are offered an opportunity to be connected with a local “HERO” to walk with them on this journey. As a team, we have the opportunity to be part of their journey.

All types of volunteers are needed for this trip – medical and non-medical. We are looking for a variety of doctors, PA’s, NP’s, registered nurses, EMT’s, paramedics, students, and VOLUNTEERS. Each team of volunteers serves to provide medical exams, nutritional assessments, deworming, vitamins, dental hygiene instruction, medicine, and community safety (CSI) evaluations. Every patient is led through spiritual counseling and has the opportunity to be connected with the local church for follow up and discipleship. There is a place for everyone to serve! YOU DO NOT NEED TO BE A MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL TO JOIN.
