Darjeeling is a town/municipality in the Indian state of West Bengal, located in the Lesser Himalayas at an elevation of 6,700 ft. This region is known for it’s tea industry, it’s breathtaking views of Kangchenjunga (the world’s third-highest mountain), and the Darjeeling Himalayan Railway – a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
We’ve chosen Darjeeling because of the immediate need to address Kala-Azar, TB, Malaria, and HIV – in addition to several other medical needs pertinent to the region.
Your support of this effort will bring medical care to this poor unreached population. Meeting these physical needs will open up the door for our workers to bring the good news that extends beyond the material and physical.
