Incredible Impact in Zambia & Mexico

It’s exciting this Spring as Developing Workers is full of ministry!

Thank you for faithfully praying and supporting us as we continue on toward to ending discipleship poverty locally and globally.

Most recently, we welcomed teams back from Zambia and Mexico.  It’s a blessing to watch all 3 arms of ministry overlap in these places and opportunities: Leader Development & Coaching, Foundations, & Mobilize Medical.

Read on for their amazing reports!

ZAMBIA: trainings, a marriage seminar, & medical clinics

Our team of 19 staff and volunteers worked alongside ministry partners and their communities in Zambia, Africa.

This trip consisted of 8 lay volunteers, 1 physician, 1 psychologist, 5 RN’s, 2 physical therapists, and 2 pastors.

As the Mobilize trips go, EVERY trip participant is valuable and plays a role.  Consider sharing your time, talents, and treasure by joining us on an upcoming trip!

While on the ground in Zambia, 746 patients were seen in Mobilize medical clinics, and hundreds received much needed care.  96 people gave their life to Jesus after hearing the Gospel.  Praise the Lord!

Please pray with us for the church as they continue to disciple these new believers even after we are gone.

There were three more opportunities to impact Zambia by equipping the church during DW’s time there.

Our team trained 55 Zambian pastors and leaders, training them with the resources of our Foundations workbook and a leader guide.  Their hunger for equipping was evidenced by their participation in the small group activities.

Hero training is an interactive course that equips local believers to lead “at-risk” patients through a restorative discipleship program.  These patients are discovered through clinic and then paired with Heroes who live in close proximity to them. This trip, 50 Heroes were trained and then paired with at-risk community members.

A veteran pastor on our team had the opportunity to conduct a marriage seminar where 75 locals were in attendance.  The enthusiasm amongst the couples was contagious!

MEXICO: pastoral training & future-planning

Recently, a team of trainers returned from the sixth trip to Southern Mexico in two years. In that span of time we have trained 2,807 pastors and leaders in cities and towns in Tabasco, Campeche, Yucatán and Chiapas.  What an impact that has spanned time and relationship!

We believe we have a solid foundation in the South of Mexico with the Foundations Discipleship Training – and now it is time to look Central and North in Mexico!

Pray with us for wisdom, discernment, and good fruit that continues to flourish in the lives and churches of these leaders.

It was amazing to be able to train over 120 leaders, and each leader has their own unique story.

In the second town we trained in, the President of the association is leading this new association of 21 churches, and he is in his early 30’s and has been a pastor for nine years. He connected with the training, especially the workshop on caring for your own soul as a leader. At lunch he got so emotional expressing his gratitude for Developing Workers coming to their community. It was a powerful moment.

We are blessed to be a part of meeting the needs and desires for the equipping of God’s people globally.

Developing Workers exists to equip leaders locally and globally for the work of discipleship.

This work is both fueled and funded by friends of our ministry.

Thanks to our community of partners like you, all financial contributions quickly transform into pastoral training, service opportunities, coaching and mentorship, special projects in underserved communities, and impactful resources that all bring us one step closer to ending discipleship poverty.

We’re so grateful for you!
